Rule281 Services can assist you in all aspects of JMRI: installation, troubleshooting, mentoring to gain a deeper knowledge of JMRI, assistance with decoder programming using JMRI, PanelPro panel design and integration with your layout’s signaling system. JMRI is kept up to date monthly to provide high assurance that we are using the most current decoder definitions to program your loco. Rule 281 Services is a beta test for all development releases of JMRI and has extensive experience in the installation and troubleshooting of JMRI installs.
DCC programming is accomplished with a dedicated mini-PC connected to a Pi-Sprog to ensure even the most difficult decoders can reliably be read and written to. An ESU LokSound programmer is used for the complex LokSound decoders. Rule 281 Services is DCC vendor agnostic, they all have their strengths and weaknesses, we will install the decoder based on your preference or based on the technical requirements of the installation.
